A Bit About Me

I am an Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor with experience of working with children, young people and adults. Working integratively means I use different modalities and techniques such as Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Cognitive and Systemic. I believe it is important to work flexibly and dynamically to what you as the client needs for your session.

I also really enjoy working creatively with my clients. Supporting them to express themselves in a creative way if they are struggling to find the words. Creativity can be a powerful way of expressing yourself, and it may also be something you have not experienced before. You may feel discouraged or intimidated using creative methods, but it is not about creating masterpieces. It is a choice to express yourself or how you are feeling.

I will often bring into sessions games and toys to help with sensory needs or for clients who struggle with maintaining eye contact.  I can also bring in figures, objects, pens & paper and utilise resources such as sand trays and paints to support clients to feel able to articulate themselves.
